Annandale & Eskdale Council for Voluntary Service (AECVS) is a registered charity and Company Limited by Guarantee. We support community groups, voluntary and not-for-profit organisations and charities in the Annandale & Eskdale Area of Dumfries and Galloway.

AECVS is an independent membership organisation; our Board of Directors are elected from our membership groups. We are part of Dumfries and Galloway Federation of Councils of Voluntary Service (DGFedCVS), the South of Scotland Network of Councils of Voluntary Service (SoSNet) and part of the national network of 57 CVSs across Scotland.
Councils of Voluntary Service aim to represent the concerns of voluntary organisations, and develop new ways of responding to need in partnership with other agencies. Councils of Voluntary Service provide a variety of support, services and facilities designed to help groups and voluntary organisations get established and meet their objectives. These groups and organisations comprise the Voluntary Sector, commonly referred to as the Sector.
