Community Planning
Annandale & Eskdale Council for Voluntary Service (AECVS) is a key partner in the Community Planning process in Annandale & Eskdale. The five community planning themes are:-
- Wealthier and fairer. Enable businesses and people to increase their wealth and more people to share fairly in that wealth.
- Healthier. Help people to sustain and improve their health, especially in disadvantaged communities, ensuring better, local and faster access to health care.
- Safer and stronger. Help local communities to flourish, becoming stronger, safer places to live, offering improved opportunities and a better quality of life.
- Smarter. Expand opportunities for Scots to succeed from nurture through to life long learning, ensuring higher and more widely shared achievements.
- Greener. Improve Scotland’s natural and built environment and the sustainable use and enjoyment of it.
Annandale & Eskdale Rural Partnership is designed to deliver more ‘bottom up’ input into the Community Planning process.
AECVS is the voluntary sector representative on the Rural Partnership Joint Officer Group.

Community Health Exchange (CHEX)
CHEX provides a resource in supporting community development approaches to health improvement and challenging health inequalities. It facilitates a network of community health initiatives and works to support them in developing good practice and influencing health and social policies. Social Investment Scotland
Social Investment Scotland (SIS) is a unique partnership between Scotland's four biggest banks and the voluntary and public sectors. SIS provides loan finance and business support to social economy organisations that are unable to raise any or all of the loan finance they need from normal commercial sources.
The Prince's Trust - Scotland
The Prince's Trust is a UK charity that helps young people overcome barriers and get their lives working. They provide practical support including training, mentoring and financial assistance, and help 14-30 year olds realise their potential and transform their lives.

T&G ACTS is the largest voluntary sector & social economy union in the United Kingdom.
