Community Planning
Annandale & Eskdale Council of Voluntary Service (AECVS) is a signed up partner to the Community Planning process in Dumfries and Galloway. The three main priorities of Community Planning are
- Inclusive Communities
- Safe and Healthy Communities
- Enterprise and Learning Communities
Annandale & Eskdale Rural Partnership is designed to deliver more ‘bottom up’ input into the Community Planning process. AECVS is the voluntary sector representative on the Rural Partnership Joint Officer Group.
Information on Community Planning can be found at www.dumgal.gov.uk/communityplanning. The Community Planning Coordinator for Annandale & Eskdale is Mairi Telford-Jammeh, she works in partnership with this CVS to deliver Rural Partnership action plans.
Dumfries and Galloway Federation of Councils of Voluntary Service (DGFedCVS)
The Federation of Councils of Voluntary Service (DGFedCVS) is a partnership between three Councils of Voluntary Service (CVSs) which operate across Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland:
The Federation 'umbrella' came about in 1995 as a strategic response to the formation of a unified Local Authority and to maximise the benefits of sharing experience and working collectively.
Goals of DGFedCVS
- Strengthening the network of member CVSs through collective endeavour in promotion, monitoring, negotiation and capacity development.
- Taking collective action as a partnership of three CVSs in developing projects which will strengthen the voluntary sector's contribution to community regeneration and social and economic inclusion.
Promoting effective communication and consultation across the local voluntary sector and with statutory and non governmental departmental bodies.

Lloyds TSB Foundation

Social Investment Scotland
Social Investment Scotland (SIS) is a unique partnership between Scotland's four biggest banks and the voluntary and public sectors. SIS provides loan finance and business support to social economy organisations that are unable to raise any or all of the loan finance they need from normal commercial sources.
